My Dad died when I was nine. He did not lead a healthy life-style. I am the youngest of six and I can see several of my family members going down a similar path. I have three sons and I want to live a healthy and active life. I started my career in corporate America and had tried “other people’s diets” and exercise routines but nothing worked. I decided to learn more about what MY body needed and get educated (and certified). I quickly saw results and it was then that I realized I wanted to share what I learned with other people. So I left my corporate job and became a personal trainer and nutrition specialist.
I find that I am at my happiest when I am healthy. Your whole mindset changes and you feel less limited in life. I take food very seriously, but I also don’t deprive myself of things I love (I do eat pasta and donuts and I love wine), but it is all about balance.
